Here at White Events we specialise in wedding venue dressing, so we know that summer is the most popular time to get married. We have years of experience in venue dressing for summer weddings so we thought we would share some of our tips for brides to be and other venue dressers, who follow our blog.
Be prepared for the weather
The weather in the UK can be really unpredictable, even throughout the summer. If you are planning on getting married outdoors we suggest that you have an indoor space available, as a backup plan, in case the British weather attempts to ruin your day! It is also a good idea to have an indoor space, even when it’s hot, so guests can take breaks from the Sun indoors.
Casual dress code
If you are having a summer wedding it is worth considering letting your guests dress more casually. No one wants to be suck in a full suit or a large dress on a baking hot day. Also, if you are having an outdoor summer wedding some formal attire can looking out of place and no one wants a guest to break an ankle when their high heels get stuck in the ground!
Multi-purpose decorations
If you are having an outdoor summer wedding it is a good idea to consider items that can be used for multiple purposes, when planning your venue dressing. For example, marquees can be used in hot weather to provide shade for your guests and they can be used to provide shelter if it rains. As can umbrellas!
Use the outdoors to your advantage
If you are having an outdoor summer wedding then why not reduce costs by using nature to your advantage. You could find a wedding venue with stunning gardens and beautiful flowers to provide a fantastic backdrop for your wedding.
